Lautrec has been awarded both the Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond Restaurant, one of only 32 restaurants worldwide to have received both accolades.
Delight all the senses in a world-class dining experience. Chef Kristin Butterworth and her team deliver an innovative, seven-course chef’s-tasting menu that showcases the freshest ingredients of the season, artfully redefining Euro-American cuisine. Butterworth is known for curating farm-to-table ingredients from local and regional growers, while also purveying particular perfections from renown, international destinations on the opposite side of the hemisphere. The delectable, memorable, and approachable dishes in the tasting menu offer guests choices in the first, fifth, and seventh courses, as Chef playfully and professionally prepares some of her favorite things in the remaining courses.
An intricate dance between the highly skilled team of chefs, impeccable servers, and schooled sommeliers, Lautrec performs a curious culinary celebration and elevated experience. Not only does the cuisine inspire, you’ll become heartened by the six original lithograph prints from French painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, which enlighten the surroundings and marvelous meal.
Complementing the cuisine is a thoughtfully collected, 1,200-bottle wine list from the resort’s prized cellar, the largest working wine cellar in Pennsylvania. To help make your selection, Nemacolin’s resident sommelier delights in providing beautifully-paired glass and bottle recommendations.
Kristin A. Butterworth leads and oversees all restaurants on property, crafting menus and fostering relationships between local farms and our restaurants. Having spent summers in her father’s gardens in rural western Pennsylvania, she learned how to prepare and preserve fresh produce, beginning a lifetime of culinary adventures.
Kristin’s experience spans a diversity of cuisine, yet maintains her strong farm-to-table roots. After college, Kristin studied Italian cuisine and pastry in Italy. Returning from abroad, she worked her way up to Sous Chef at Nemacolin. Then she explored refined southern cuisine at Sea Island Resort and fine dining at Little Washington in Virginia. In 2010, Kristin finally made her return to Nemacolin as Chef de Cuisine at Lautrec.
“Whether it’s going up the road to Footprints Farm or importing the best ingredients directly from Paris, we only use the best.”
Kristin has since been a featured Chef at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City; received the coveted Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond awards every year since 2011; was a Semifinalist for the 2018 and 2019 James Beard – Best Chefs in America award; and was recently honored as one of Pittsburgh Magazine’s 40 Under 40.
