Learn to Make Pasta by Taking an Italian Cooking Class
What is it about pasta that brings a smile to one’s face and a bit of comfort to the stomach? We may not all be Italian, but learning to make pasta dough, laughing, and eating together are cross-cultural experiences to which we can all relate.
You’re invited to grab an apron, and join the chefs of Nemacolin for an Italian-inspired cooking class where you’ll learn to make one of Italy’s most timeless pastas. It’s an Old-World tradition where you’ll make pasta from scratch by mixing the ingredients, rolling and cutting the dough by hand, and then eating and enjoying your pasta class creation.
This interactive class with a chef is held in the Lautrec Bistro with chefs from Nemacolin. They’ll welcome your questions and offer cooking tips in return. After mixing your egg, flour, and semolina, you’ll roll and fold your pasta — without a mixer or machine in sight!
As the pasta is cooked in front of you, enjoy a glass of wine or a mocktail. When your pasta emerges from the boiling water and is strained, a freshly prepared sauce is combined with a long-simmered pomodoro and topped with as much grated Parmigiano-Reggiano as you desire. At first bite, you’ll know it’s time to update your resume, adding from-scratch pasta-making to your newfound list of gifts and talents. Consider the take-home recipe card to be your certificate of achievement for this Nemacolin cooking class!
