Play the Best Golf of Your Life at Nemacolin

Nestled in the Laurel Highlands, Nemacolin offers unparalleled access to two of the best golf courses in the U.S. Whether you want to improve your game at a Pennsylvania golf resort or enjoy a leisure weekend on the golf course, there’s something for everyone at Nemacolin.

Each golf course at Nemacolin was designed by renowned architect Pete Dye, who has been called “the father of modern golf course design.” No two rounds will ever be identical here — and that’s just part of what makes Nemacolin such a magical and popular golf getaway. Dye’s courses have been voted among the top 100 courses in America by Golf Digest and Golfweek and are known for their stunning beauty and challenging layout. Both courses span acres of the Laurel Highlands, offering championship-level elements of mountain golf in a spectacular setting among Pennsylvania’s Allegheny Mountains.

Start at Shepherd’s Rock

The Pete Dye-designed Shepherd’s Rock course offers players a full-bag golf experience.

Shepherd’s Rock is the ultimate course to test every golfer’s skill by using each club in the bag to navigate the terrain and visual challenges the course presents from tee to green.

The 7,290-yard course stretches across the beautiful Pennsylvania Allegheny Mountains and features a Mid-Atlantic layout that feels like a links-style course on several holes. It plays to a USGA rating of 74.7/138 from the back tee.

Shepherd’s Rock reflects Pete Dye’s course design philosophy in his later years and is a perfect companion to Nemacolin’s PGA Tour-tested Mystic Rock.

Its unique topography and abundance of bunkers make this course a thrilling challenge even for the best players.

Elevate Your Game at Mystic Rock

Mystic Rock, a classic Pete Dye design, sets the tone on the early holes as a special golf course that is fair but challenging. The feeling of being on a tour-challenging course builds throughout the round and leaves every golfer saying “what a special golf course this is, and I want to play it again soon.”

The Nemacolin golf staff highly recommends taking one of the talented forecaddies to help you navigate the nuances of the greens and manage the yardages with the constantly changing winds in the mountains.

Host of PGA Tour 84 Lumber Classic, the par-72 course layout has a 77 rating and a slope of 149 from the back tee.
